Performing
at the International Carpathia Festival in Rzeszow, Poland
Today
afternoon I have arrived back home, full of emotions after
spending a few beautiful days, being invited to perform at
the International Carpathia Festival in Poland. It took
approx. 12 hours there and 12 hours back of driving with my
old Ford Fiesta. More info will come later, but for now I
must say - I fell in love with them. Everybody was so nice
and they treated me like a star. Everything was so
professional and bigger than I was used to from The Czech
Republic. And Polish girls - as you can see - are sooooo
beautiful. Everybody and especially our assistants - on the
picture - were so nice and beautiful. I miss them all :o).
And hope to come back there soon :o).
If
you will be nearby radio on Saturday 17.5.08, at 7 pm, don't
forget to listen, because the introducing song of The
Beatles, of whole event is played by us - and directly to
the broadcast on the air of Regina radio :o). ... So let's
hope there won't be raining :o).

Blackbirds
to perform at the open-air Beatlemania at Pruhonice
Will
see if there's gonna be flood and stormy. I saw it
once with Professor, and they had to cancel the
performance. But if there's going to be soft or
normal rain, it's going to happen :o). About the
details you get to know by the way on the waves of
the Oldies radio, where it is being told by the
organizer of the event and the president of fanclub
Beatles Jirka
Svatek.
Beatles
have been for me until today musical alphabet and Paul
McCartney one of my biggest idols, so we gladly
accepted the offer.

From the musician's diary - Blackbirds at Olomouc - or
what could happen on the way
Lately,
I'm posting the message about our adventure on the way to
Olomouc. Approx. 40 km near to Olomouc our car broke down.
So I was trying to repair it for almoust one hour. And
during that time, the girl from the gas station brought us
a contact to the mechanic, who repairs cars. So he came,
and found he couldn't fix it at the place. So he drove us
to the Olomouc :o), we played the gig and didn't now, how
we come back home. It was really fun. But because I'm an
adventure man, I react those things differently :o). I'm
such mad :o).
After
the performance I called the mechanic which fortunatelly
have fixed the car. And althought in Olomouc wasn't so big
visit, organizers liked it and we have dealed the next
possible cooperation. So it wasn't useless. And - by the
way - at S-Club there was a great space and splendid mix
engineer. So great.
On
ozur way back to the car the mechanic counted the price
for his services
- 6.250,- Kč ... So I payed it from my backup I had. And
the mechanic let me on my word to send him the rest
2.300,- by the post on Friday. Althought he was afraid I
won't send him that, bur he had no choice. I tried to
persuade him to be cool. I told him I'll send it and we
shaked hands so there was nothing to solve.
He
was calling me next day while I was on my way to the bank.
He was well surprised and said, that I gave him back the
faith for the people. Nice. So even for that it wasn't
useless. That was an adventure :o).

Beautiful
marriage, beautiful bride and likeable bridegroom
That
even gigs for an order - and infront of all - the marriages,
could be often awesome, this we've been persuaded by a
bride and bridegroom and wedding guests in the area Na
Korabe in Prague. Only the plaster pterodactylus didn't
like being by the reprobox at the begining, but after he
got used to it and at least became dancing :o)

An
apologize - Noel's cancelled. It didn't start the best way.
To
the all, wha came to see me, or even came to the Noel's
Café I apologize by that. But approximately at 8.40 pm I
greeted the owner Barry and decided to cancel the gig at
his Café. There are some things, when it doesn't make a
sense. And that was one of them. By the need for playing
as much as possible I haven't thought, if it is bars, pubs,
etc ...
It's
maybe a kind of a rebelion and by these days a little
brave attitude. But I believe a musician, even in these times,
should have to save a self-respect and honor. And by this
I have behaved.
It
might happen that a gig sometimes makes no sense. We
played the performances while we were sick, but even if in
the between of snobs would have appeared one normal guy
wanting to have a fun, we'll play for him. When there is
even minimum care and normal behaviour, it always makes a
sense.
But
at Noel's then it hadn't :o). So I wish to the owner Barry
and his businness good luck. And we join to some previous
who have ended the cooperation with Noel's. Unfortunatelly
it was probably misunderstood and a bad agreement with the
owner. It was a little absurd and useless how it happened
but it was from my side in all serious behaviour.
As
it seems, by the end of April and mainly during May and
June I'll get back to the roots little bit and will run an
acoustic mini-tour by new records :o). I don't know yet if
guys from my band will join me, so it seems so far, that
it's going to be one man tour :o). But honestly I'm
attracted by an idea to remind the old times and tour
several villages and cities and play simple, by guitar and
piano. Just alone. To introduce to people stuffs in the
shape how they are created, just simply, by guitar, by
piano. So if you know about a place at your home in
your village or city, and you want me to come around,
there's nothing easier, it requires only you to send me an
e-mail :o).

Recording
will soon move to it's 2nd half
Even
things are going slowly .. they're going forward. Selection is
on process and it is not easy to choose those 10 tracks,
which should have been there. To one of them has in the
cutting room been presently finished a video-clip, which
we've already shot last year on October and November. Due
to the thing I'm standing in the water there, it was a kind of
fun :o).

With
the band P.R.D.I. in Kain it was great !!!
This
bunch has in Kain, where they're home, mostly full, or at
least many people, which pleases me. It is a relief that people prefare music to the television culture. These
guys have written on their website "the best
folk-rock wide around". And you know what? It is
maybe right :o). It was my pleasure and their fans were
great, to accept us. So thanks and hopefully next time in
Kain with P.R.D.I. :o).
As
I ever wanted to play more, as more as possible, and I've
been looking back to a band, etc... I have to change some
things. Of course I like the best to play with whole band
- I've ever felt myself as a member of a band. But because
I want to play more than could be arranged with whole
band, so this year you'll see me and hear me much more. By
a band and solo or as a guest in some other bands. Simply
I want to play and won't look back anymore. So see ya soon.

A
New Year ... and changes in formation again. The band was
left by guitarist Milan Matoušek.
You
might have recognized in the end of year 2007 a
familiar face in Blackbirds. Those days appeared there
more again our former member guitarist Tomas. We wish to
thank Milan for his contribution to the band's music and
wish him well in his future. At the same time we
temporarily welcome Tomas back replacing him and so the
band reminded the old times, when we re-united the band
with Tomas a long time ago, and as many noticed, he
stepped right in, almost as he never left.
It
is no doubt, the year 2007 was one of the most
beautiful in my life. I've lost and found myself
again - so Lost And Found.
Everything in these songs is from real life. I'm
little bit afraid now, that no other year (for a
long time) would be the same, simply because it was
so beautiful. And I'm grateful. But for sure, I hope
the new one will be just as good and who knows,
maybe even better. I've
celebrated thirty-something and got a chance to
share my songs as well as myself. This is what makes
me happy the most. If you'll
live at least for one third of the feelings as I did
this year, you'll glow from happiness. Beautiful
events and seemingly ordinary things, will make you
glow and all of a sudden you find a touch of heaven,
feeling of closeness with the people you love,
and a lots of health and happiness. That, and much
more we
wish for those dear and close as well as to us in
New Year 2008. Thanks to
all of you, who in some way have been around and
with me. Happy New Year, Looking forward to see you
in 2008.

Someone
told me it's Christmas or what
:o).
So
I'm strugglin' through the madness in the city,
weaving one's way between stressed-out Prague people
and other visitors, who've been completely fallen
into X-mas panic. Each year it is becoming more an
Anti-Christmas. From the feasts of calm and peace,
for gathering of people who love each other it is
becoming a struggle, grunding behaviour between
people, and into it smart weaving of businnessmen,
race competition in buying presents, buying
nonsenses, and only ever-present stress. I don't
know how it's about you, but I initiated everyone,
that any silly present is enough, any small gift
under the tree, small tree and for the best, TV
switched-off, because watching our poor and
embarassing TV programs would be a punishment. For
me the perfect Christmas atmosphere has been snapped
in the the scenes of Mr.Bean, and into movies like
for example Love Actually. The rocker Billy Mack
being acted by Bill Nighy is simply igenious. So the
bottle of something good, and a good movie and if
the crowd only little alows it, to get a walk in the
Prague by night-or Petrin park (but minimum at two
and tear-gas wearing along !!!), somewhere to pirate
the cup of mull and infront of all sent away all
shopping and stress. I wish for lots of people to
understand, what the Christmas some time ago was all
about, and what about sometimes hopefully perhaps
will be again. For some of us it's still feasts of
calm and peace and we won't let it be spoiled by any
campaign of foxiliy-smarts of businness-web and pre-Christmas
madness in the streets. Keep on struggling :o) !!!

On
Friday 7.12.07
I have arrived back to Czech from the astonishing
paradise on the Earth - island Tenerife.
I've
been given a chance to spend a week on Tenerife. And
because recently I felt like I've had enough of
something, so it was more than suitable and I made a
holiday. It was a week in paradise and more than
that I took a part with local rock bunch T3 with a
couple of songs. It was great and at the present
time I'm working on to get back there soon. Honestly, to celebrate St. Nicholas Day with a
champagne on the beach is a kind of different than
cold and scratching off frozen windows of a car in
Prague :o).

On
the day of 18.11.07 I moved into fresh thirties.
When,
long time ago, I'd been reading about one of
musician idol as about "thirtie with dreamy
look" I sad to myself, of course, when he's
not exactly youngster. Age is a state of mind. But I'm
getting used to it slowly, but it's not easy,
because 30 isn't fun anymore. This is that
somethings required from you. Recently I've spoken
about that with some other musician and he told me
that in the beginning he was getting over it hardly
too. So I know that is normal. He said that the 40
was already better. So I addapt myself. And I'm
getting used on three. So, still better than 40 :o).
I'm still very far to being a dinosaur and it's
still closer to twentie, inspite of that it doesn't
matter anyway, because probably on I still will be
forever teenager :o).
